I can’t tell you how many times I’ve opened a new tool, stared at a complicated-looking dashboard, and instantly felt overwhelmed. Where do I start? What do all these buttons do? Am I going to accidentally delete something important? It’s that moment where your excitement about creating something cool slams into the brick wall of tech confusion.

And trust me—I get it.

That’s exactly how I felt when I first started learning AI video tools. The idea of using AI to create videos sounded incredible, but the second I logged in, I thought, "Wait…what am I supposed to click? Where do I even begin?"

That’s why before we dive into video creation, we’re going to get comfortable with PromeAI and Invideo.

Think of this as getting a tour before driving a new car—you wouldn’t just jump in and hit the gas without at least checking where the controls are, right? The more familiar you are with these dashboards, the more confident you’ll feel when it’s time to bring your ideas to life.

And here’s the best part: Both of these tools are designed to be user friendly.

They may look advanced at first, but once you know where to find the essentials, they become simple, fun, and easy to use.

So, let’s break it down—one step at a time.

Navigating the PromeAI Dashboard

PromeAI is a game-changer when it comes to breathing life into static images. It takes a simple photo—maybe a product image, a logo, or a snapshot you love—and adds subtle motion to make it feel dynamic and engaging.

Whether it’s a flowing background effect, a slow-motion zoom, or a mesmerizing animation, the transformation happens with just a few clicks.

The first time I logged into PromeAI, I expected it to be complicated. I braced myself for layers of menus and settings, but instead, I was pleasantly surprised.

The dashboard is sleek, intuitive, and welcoming. On the left sidebar, you’ll find a main navigation menu, where all of PromeAI’s creative tools live.

But for now, we’re focusing on just one: the Image-to-Video AI tool—this is where the magic happens.

Here’s what you need to know to get started:

A Quick Tour of the PromeAI Dashboard
When you first log in, you’ll see a simple, user-friendly interface. The key items on the left sidebar you need to know are:

 Home – This is your homebase and the 'My Assets' button in the top right corner gives you instant access to your vidoes, resources, and creations.
 AI Tools – You can access the key tool you need here, 'Image to Video'.
 My Space– On the second left sidebar you can access your Profile, Likes, Assets, and Account Settings here. 
 Assets– From My Space if you click on 'Assets', you can upload images or choose from existing assets.

The Image-to-Video AI Tool
The Image-to-Video tool is the core feature you’ll be using in this lesson. It allows you to:

• Upload a static image (a product photo, a logo, or any visual or image, even AI images you have created).
• Enter a prompt description for the image. 
• Apply AI-powered motion effects to make the image dynamic.
• Customize the animation motion intensity.
• Download a short video clip that can be used for branding, marketing, social media, or online business. 

The best part? You don’t need to know anything about video editing to make stunning animations. In just a few clicks, PromeAI delivers amazing instant results!

Navigating the Invideo Dashboard 

While PromeAI focuses on animating static images, Invideo takes things to the next level by allowing you to create full-length, AI-powered videos.

If you’ve ever wished you could make a professional-looking promo video or a marketing clip without spending hours editing, this is the tool that will make it happen.

When I first opened Invideo, I expected the same overwhelming feeling I had with traditional video editing software. Instead, I found a user-friendly dashboard that made sense immediately. Everything is laid out with clarity—your workflows, tools, and projects are all easy to access.

At the heart of Invideo is its AI-powered text-to-video feature.

This is the tool that blows my mind. Instead of manually piecing together a video, all you have to do is enter a short script or a few key phrases, and Invideo does the rest. It automatically selects stock footage, adds animations, and even suggests background music. In less than five minutes, you will have a completed, full video—no complicated timelines, no need for advanced editing skills.

For those who prefer more control, Invideo also allows you to start from scratch, choosing every detail manually. Whether you want to use AI assistance or customize your video step by step, Invideo makes sure you have options.

Another game-changing feature is Invideo’s AI-powered voiceovers. You don’t need to record narration yourself. Invideo provides realistic, natural-sounding AI-generated voiceovers in multiple accents and languages.

The first time I tried it, I couldn’t believe how professional it sounded. No awkward robotic tones, just smooth, natural narration that could easily match a high-end commercial.

Whether you want to create an explainer video, a promotional ad, or social media content, Invideo’s AI-driven features help you go from concept to polished video quickly.

Here’s what you need to know before creating your first AI-generated video:

Exploring the Invideo Dashboard: Where to Find Everything You Need
When you first log into Invideo, you’ll see a clean, focused workspace. The main screen opens with the input box front and center to help you start creating; but, before we do, let's take a look at some of the key sections and features of the dashboard. 

Click the Menu Icon in the top left-hand corner to open Invideo AI's main sidebar menu. The main sections are:
 Home – Your Invideo homebase. From here you can start a new AI video, see your project History, and see any projects you have Downloaded. 

Media Library – Access images, music, or media you have uploaded to enhance your video. (You don't have to upload anything to create a video, but if you have images, clips, or music you want to use, Invideo gives you that option.)

Generative Picks – Access a vast library of Invideo creations and inspiration. These are a great way to get ideas and example prompts/scripts for future video projects. 
 Plugins: Voices– This feature allows you to create a sample recording of your own voice. This allows you to use your own voice within your Invideo creations. (This is a premium feature and requires an upgraded account.)
 Plugins:  Text to Clip, Text to Image, Photo to Clip, Text to Title Clip– each of these features allows you to create a quick video clip from 1 to 10 seconds in either a horizontal or vertical frame mode. These are perfect for introduction and conclusion clips, B-roll clips, or for social media clips.  (These are premium features and require an upgraded account.)
Preset Library – Access subtitle, transition, and overlay preset settings to create defaults or standards for your videos.
 History– A complete listing of the projects you have created inside Invideo, listed in descending order (with the most recent project first).  

Understanding Workspace Settings – Public vs. Private
Before you begin, it’s important to choose the right workspace setting for your projects:

Click your Profile Icon in the upper right-hand corner, then click 'Settings': Adjust the Default Export Visibility to match your preference. 

• Public Mode – Your videos are visible to any anonymous user.
• Unlisted – Your videos are visible to all Invideo AI logged in users with a link. 
• Private Mode – Your video projects remain private, only visible to you and anyone on your workspace.

For most beginners, Private Mode is ideal while experimenting with AI video creation.

Understanding Workflows and Media Assets
Invideo offers two main ways to create videos:

 Start from Scratch– Allows you to start from scratch, provide all the detail, and customize AI-generated content more extensively.
Workflows or Templates– Allows you to select from carefully crafted starter workflows, by project type, that help guide you through the video creation process. 

In addition, Invideo provides an extensive library of media assets:

• Stock videos and images to enhance your content.
• Background music and sound effects for a polished touch.
• AI-powered voiceovers to narrate your videos with natural-sounding speech.

By understanding these key features, you’ll be ready to start creating your first AI-powered video with ease!

Setting Yourself Up for AI Video Success

Now that you’ve had a tour of both platforms, you’re already ahead of the game. You won’t waste time clicking around trying to figure things out. Instead, you can jump right into creating.

You know where to find the tools, where to upload your content, and what to expect when you start. The hardest part is done—getting started.

Once you take the next step, animating an image in PromeAI and generating your first AI-powered video in Invideo, you’ll realize just how powerful and accessible these tools are.

Next, we’re going to dive into how to guide AI video tools with effective prompts so that your videos turn out exactly the way you envision.

Part 2 - Understanding AI Video Prompts

One of the biggest misconceptions about AI is that it works perfectly on the first try. The reality? AI follows instructions, and if those instructions are vague or unclear, the results will be too.

I learned this lesson the hard way when I first started experimenting with AI video.

My early prompts were too general, and the videos didn’t quite match what I envisioned. But the moment I started adding specific details, structuring my prompts more clearly, and using AI text tools to refine my wording, my videos improved dramatically.

AI isn’t here to replace creativity—it’s here to enhance it. The more you guide AI with well-thought-out prompts, the more polished, professional, and engaging your videos will be. 

AI is a powerful tool, but like any tool, it needs clear instructions to perform at its best. That’s where AI video prompts come in.

A well-crafted prompt is the difference between an incredible AI-generated video and a disappointing one. Just like giving directions to a new assistant, the more specific and detailed you are, the better results you will get.

What is an AI Video Prompt? 

Think of an AI video prompt like a set of instructions that tells the AI exactly what you want.

It’s not just about saying, “Make a video for an online business.” Instead, you’re guiding the AI with descriptive language, key details, and creative elements to get the best possible outcome.

For example, instead of typing:
“Create a marketing video for my bakery.”

You’ll get much better results if you write:
“Create a 30-second marketing video for my artisan bakery. The video should highlight fresh bread, warm pastries, and happy customers enjoying their morning coffee. Use a warm, inviting color scheme, smooth transitions, and uplifting background music.”

See the difference? The second prompt gives AI a clear direction, so it knows exactly what to create.

AI responds best when you include specifics like:
Tone & Mood – Should the video feel upbeat, dramatic, professional, or fun?
Style & Aesthetic – Do you want a modern, minimal, or colorful look?
Content & Focus – What key visuals or ideas should the video highlight?
Video Length – A short 15-second promo? A 60-second explainer video?

The more descriptive and intentional your prompt is, the more tailored and engaging your video will be.

Elements of an Excellent AI Video Prompt

The first time I saw AI generate a video from a simple text prompt, I was blown away.

But, as you've already learned, not all prompts are created equal. Some produce stunning, professional videos—while others feel generic and uninspired. That’s why I tested different prompt formulas, tweaking my approach until I found what worked best.

Here is the winning formula you can follow:

[Video length] (short promo, full-length tutorial, quick 30-second clip)

[Type of video] (marketing video, tutorial, social media clip)
[Business or brand focus] (your product, service, industry)

[Action/Emotion and Pace] (high-energy, slow and cinematic, emotionally compelling, use close ups to capture emotion, action-driven)
[Tone and style] (warm and inviting, bold and energetic, sleek and modern)
[Key visuals] (specific images, text overlays, logo placement)

For example, if you own a fitness coaching business, your prompt might look like this:

“Create a 45-second motivational video for my online fitness coaching program. Show people doing home workouts, smiling as they reach their fitness goals. Use bright, high-energy visuals with fast-paced transitions. Add uplifting background music and a text overlay that says, ‘Transform Your Health from Home!’”

By including details like emotion, pacing, and visuals, you’re helping AI bring your vision to life in a way that feels authentic to your brand and resonates deeply with your customers. 

Use AI Text Tools to Help Write Your AI Video Prompts & Scripts

If you’re struggling to come up with a great prompt, don’t worry—you don’t have to do it alone!

AI text tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude can help you write a polished video prompt or even a full script, like a pro!

I used to spend hours staring at a blank screen, trying to think of the perfect words for my video ideas. Now? I let AI assist me.

Here’s how you can do the same: Write a Prompt with AI Text Tools

 Open ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.
Type: “Write an engaging AI video prompt for a [type of video] for my [type of business] about [your topic]. Make it [describe tone and style], add [key visuals or items that represent the feel of your business].”
Let AI generate a clear, structured prompt that you can tweak to fit your vision.

Here’s how you can level up: Write a Script with AI Text Tools 

You can even ask AI to write a script for your video. If you’re using Invideo’s text-to-video feature, having a well-structured script makes the process seamless. (The script is the narration during the video that Invideo's voiceovers will recite while the video is playing.) 

For example, you can type:

“Write a 30-second promotional script for my handmade jewelry business. The video should showcase close-up shots of rings and necklaces, elegant lighting, and a soft, classy background track. The message should focus on handcrafted elegance and timeless beauty.”

In seconds, AI will generate a ready-to-use script, saving you time and effort, while creating the exact result you want! 

Now that you understand how to craft a great AI video prompt, it’s time for the best part—creating your first AI-powered video! In the next section, we’ll walk through the step-by-step process of using PromeAI to animate a static image and turn it into a stunning video clip.

Part 3 - Creating Your First Video with PromeAI

The first time I turned a simple image into a moving video using PromeAI, I was amazed.

In the not so distant past, it was much more difficult to create a high-quality video production. It required expensive software, advanced editing skills, and hours of tedious work. But here I was, watching AI breathe life into a still image—within minutes. At that moment, I realized just how powerful this tool was.

Now, it’s your turn to experience that magic.

In this section, we’re going to create your first AI-generated video with PromeAI. No stress. No confusion. Just a few simple steps that will leave you with a professional, eye-catching animated video for your business.

PromeAI’s Image-to-Video tool is designed to take any still image—a product, people, places, or things photo, an AI image, a logo, a graphic, or even a scenic background—and add movement and depth to create a visually engaging video clip.

If you’ve ever seen those smooth, cinematic video ads where the background subtly shifts, the object comes to life, or the lighting effect changes just enough to grab your attention—that’s exactly what PromeAI can do.

And the best part? You don’t need to know anything about video editing.

Let’s jump right in! 

Step 2: Applying Dynamic AI-Powered Motion

This is where the magic happens. AI will take your static image and make it move, adding subtle animations that turn it into a professional-quality video.

But, we have two final steps. 

 Prompt: Use this box to enter a short description of how you envision the motion to take place. (This box can also be left blank in you want to allow PromeAI to decide on the animations and motions).

 Motion Intensity: Select the motion intensity of your video from 0-100. The default setting is 70.  The higher the number the more drastic the movement, while a lower number creates a more subtle movement. (Be aware that the highest intensities may alter the image or object clarity to achieve the effects.)

Now you are ready! Hit Generate, and watch as PromeAI transforms your image into an incredible, dynamic video!

Step 3: Editing and Exporting Your PromeAI Video

It’s time to preview your PromeAI video!

The video should automatically open in a new browser window/tab when it is ready, but if it doesn't click on Home in the left sidebar, and then click on My Assets in the upper right-hand corner. 

Next click on the video you created and it will open full-screen in a new window. 

What do you think? Amazing Right?!

I’ll never forget the first time I saw my completed AI video—I had expected something basic, but instead, I got a beautiful, dynamic clip that looked like it had been professionally edited. It felt like AI had just given me superpowers.

It was a moment of realization—AI isn’t just a tool; it is a creative partner, that turns simple ideas into stunning videos with ease. But once your video is generated, the next step is just as important—knowing how to view, edit, and export your final masterpiece.

Viewing Your AI-Animated Video: 

Once your video is open full-screen, there are three ways to view it. Hover your cursor at the bottom center of the screen, and you will see: 

Large Image: Shows the video in full size. 
Slider: Puts the static image on the left and the motion video on the right with a slider you can move back and forth to compare the incredible effects. 
Side-by-Side: Puts the entire static image on the left and the entire motion video on the right so that you can clearly see the dynamic changes that were made.

Editing Your Video:

While AI has made incredible leaps and bounds, it is important to understand that editing your Image-to-Video clips on PromeAI is currently unavailable. 

If you hover over the top center of the screen with your video in full size, you will see the options to share, download, or edit. However, if you select any of the options from the editing menu, it will NOT edit the video.  You will only be editing the original image you uploaded or selected to create the video.  

However, I did recently speak with PromeAI's customer service department, and per my suggestions, they are considering making it possible to add features like pan or zoom, motion direction, and motion speed to the Image-to-Video tool under Motion Intensity in future optimizations. (So keep your eye out for those! )

Exporting Your Video:

Once your video is done, it is ready to download and export! Hover your cursor at the top center of the screen, and you will see the download button: 

With Watermark: This option is available with the free PromeAI account and allows you to download the video with permission to use it for your online business. This option will carry the PromeAI watermark in the lower right-hand corner of the video. 
No Watermark: This option also allows you to download the video with permission to use it for your online business, but the PromeAI watermark will be removed during download. (This is a premium feature and requires an upgraded account.)

Saving Your Video:

As you save your images to your computer or to your cloud storage like Google Drive or OneDrive, I recommend a few good habits to help keep your business flowing smoothly. 

Here are a few simple ways to stay organized:

  Create Dedicated Folders on Your Computer: Keep separate folders for different types of video (e.g., "Logos in Motion," "Social Media Videos," "Product Ads," “Website”, "Intros/Outros", etc.).

  Use File Naming Conventions Inside Your Folders: Rename your videos based on their purpose, like "Eagle_Logo" or "Website_Feature".

  Save Iterations: If you use an image multiple times, keep older versions—sometimes an earlier variation turns out to be exactly what you need.

Once your video is saved, congratulations—you just created your first AI-generated video with PromeAI!

Part 4 - Creating Your First Video with Invideo

With just a few clicks, Invideo can take a simple idea, a rough script, or even a handful of keywords and turn them into a polished, professional video—complete with transitions, effects, music, and even voiceovers.

The first time I tried Invideo, I expected it to be complicated. I assumed I’d have to learn timelines, drag-and-drop layers, and tweak settings endlessly. But instead, the process was smooth, intuitive, and shockingly simple.

I typed in a basic idea, selected a few customizations, and within minutes, AI generated a high-quality marketing video that looked like it had been professionally edited.

Now, it’s your turn.

In this section, we’ll go step by step through creating your first AI-powered video with Invideo—whether you’re making a promo, an explainer video, or content for social media.

Step 1: Choose an Invideo Workflow or Start from Scratch

When you opened the Invideo platform earlier in the lesson, it started automatically on the Create AI Video—Start from Scratch screen with the input box front and center. 

However, one of the most powerful features of Invideo is its AI-assisted video workflows. Instead of starting from scratch, these templates give you a ready-made structure, allowing you to create a professional-looking video in minutes.

Let's explore Invideo's two options further:
Start from Scratch – If you prefer complete creative control, you can build a video without any pre-built selections. Your video will be created solely on the AI video prompt you provide. To use this method simply copy and paste your AI prompt into the input box. (If you choose this method, be sure to follow the complete AI prompt formula that you learned earlier in this lesson in order to get the best results.)

Use an AI-Powered Workflow – Perfect for beginners, this option lets you pick a pre-designed template based on project type that AI will customize based on your needs.

For your first video, I highly recommend starting with a pre-built workflow. It’s the easiest way to see Invideo AI in action and understand how the platform works.

To begin:

Step 1: Choose the Workflow button located below the prompt input box. Then choose the workflow that matches your video’s purpose (short video, explainer video, listicle video, brand story, etc.), then Click on it to open the workflow popup window.

 Step 2: Select the length of the video and the video platform (YouTube 16:9, YouTube Shorts 9:16, TikTok 9:16, Instagram 9:16). 

Step 3: Enter the topic for your video by typing or pasting your complete AI video prompt into the box (e.g., “Write a 30-second promotional script for my handmade jewelry business. The video should showcase close-up shots of rings and necklaces, elegant lighting, and a soft, classy background track. The message should focus on handcrafted elegance and timeless beauty.”).

 Step 4: Choose your Use Setting. This is the type of video media that will be used to create your video. Invideo offers three types of media to create videos: AI generated clips (videos), AI generated images, and stock media. (Generated clips and generated images are premium features and require an upgraded account.)

 Step 5: Choose your Setting Options. If you want more direct control over your AI video, you can hit the '+' sign for any of the available options and select the preference you prefer from the dropdown.  If you change your mind after you have made an option selection, you can hover your cursor to the right of the selections and click the 'X' to delete it again. (You also have the option to ignore these options and Invideo will use AI to select the options that best match your videos prompt and description.) 

When you have finished making your selections, hit Continue to move to the next step. 

Drumroll Please! With your AI prompt entered into the Start from Scratch box or the 5 Steps completed in your workflow, you are now ready to create your very first full AI-Powered video! 

Hit 'Generate a Video' and let Invideo AI generate your first AI video! Congrats! You did it! You've just created your first AI-powered video with Invideo!

Once AI has created a rough version, you will be transported to the video viewing screen where you can watch and listen to your video in action!

Don't worry, if there are elements, comments, or portions of the script you want to change, we will be walking through the exact steps to edit your video in an upcoming section, but before we edit, let me show you one more feature of Invideo that will have you creating videos like a pro—right from the start.

Step 2: Creating a Stunning AI Video with Your Own Script

Remember when we used ChatGPT and AI text tools to write your prompts and scripts? This is where the combination of AI text and AI video can become super-charged!

Using a custom script for your AI-generated video is one of the most powerful ways to ensure your message truly connects with your ideal client.

While AI can generate scripts based on prompts, writing your own allows you to infuse your unique brand voice, personality, and values into every word. A custom script gives you full control over the tone, pacing, and emotional impact of your video—helping you speak directly to your audience’s needs, desires, and pain points.

Instead of sounding generic or robotic, your message becomes authentic, engaging, and deeply resonant, making it far more likely to build trust, capture attention, and inspire action.

When your audience feels like you're speaking directly to them, they’re not just watching your video—they’re connecting with your brand.

With Invideo, if you want to take full control of your video’s content, you can input your own custom script instead of relying on AI’s auto-generated text that is based on your prompt. 

When I tried typing in a full script, instead of just giving AI a short description, the first time, the difference was night and day! The video was sharper, more relevant, and perfectly aligned with my brand’s message.

Here’s how to do it:

 On Invideo, under the main prompt box, click “Use My Script”. This action will open the custom script workflow template. Then select the video platform (YouTube 16:9, YouTube Shorts 9:16, TikTok 9:16, Instagram 9:16). The length of your video will be determined by the length of your script. 

 Next jump over to ChatGPT or the AI Text tool you used to write your complete script. Copy and paste the full script into the script box. Remember to keep your script clear, engaging, and structured so that the video will clearly deliver your message, promotion, or story. 

 Now finish out the workflow by choosing your Use Setting (media type) and Setting Options. When you have finished making your selections, hit Continue to return to the text-to-video screen. 

Hit 'Generate a Video' and let Invideo transform your script into a powerful video that speaks directly to your ideal customer! Invideo will automatically match each section of your custom script to visuals, animations, and music.

It is the perfect blend of AI efficiency and human authenticity—allowing you to create high-quality videos in record time while still delivering a message that feels personal and connected.

Then each chapter will have one or more lines of script associated with it, and background music associated with it. (The edit panel opens on the Media tab, but you can click on the Music tab, and Script tab to easily see how the music and script align with each chapter.)

Click on the thumbnail image of the chapter clip you want to change, then select from uploaded media, stock media, or generative media. Next hover over the video clip you want to use. Then click the new clip to replace the original clip in your chapter. (Generated clips are a premium feature and require an upgraded account.)

Change Background Music – Music sets the tone, mood, and emotional impact of your video. And guess what? You don’t have to dig through complicated audio libraries anymore. Again, Invideo makes it fast and simple. 

To change the background music, start by clicking on the Music Tab at the top of the edit panel. Then select the chapter for the audio you want to change, and choose from uploaded music or stock music. On the stock music screen, type in the tone (fast, upbeat, inspirational, sentimental, slow, etc...) of music you want in the search bar, and Invideo will provide a perfectly curated list for you to choose from. Select the track you like, and hit Apply. 

Change Script Text – Narration guides your audience through your video and portrays your message, story, or promotion. If the wording isn't quite what you imagined, it's easy to change. 

To change the script, start by clicking on the Script Tab. Locate the line of text you want to adjust or change. Click on it to highlight the text box, then type over it with the corrected script you want to use, and hit Save changes. 

Customize Text Overlays, Transitions, Subtitles, and Sound Volume – Adding clarity, accessibility, and dynamic movement to your video couldn’t be easier. You can instantly add subtitles or transitions to reinforce key points and make sure your viewers never miss critical information—especially if they're watching on a mobile device with the sound off.

To increase accessibility and visual engagement to your video, start by clicking on the Settings Tab. Next, select the dropdown or the slider next to the option you want to adjust. Select the option you want to try from the dropdown list, then hit Save changes.  (After you have tested several options inside these settings, you will determine your favorites for each preset.  I recommend using them consistently to help create a consistent and distinguished style in your videos to strengthen your brand recognition and customer engagement.)  

Adjust Narration Speed and Video Quality – Need your voiceover a bit faster or slower? You can tweak narration speed effortlessly, creating just the right pace and rhythm to keep your audience engaged.

Invideo offers narration speed at rates of 0.75x, 1.0x, 1.25x, 1.50x, 1.75x, and 2.0x. (The default setting is 1.0x.) Your video is also available in the following standard quality settings: 240p, 480p, 720p, and 1080p.  (The default setting is 480p.)

The fastest and easiest way to adjust these settings (though it can be done inside the edit panel) is to return to the Magic Box/Video Preview screen, and then locate the speed and quality settings in the lower right-hand corner of the preview screen. Click on the 1.0x speed to adjust the speed, and click on the setting wheel icon to adjust the video quality setting.  (I recommened changing the video to 1080p before downloading in order to get the best quality videos for your online business, website, and social media marketing.)
